This game reminds me of a lot of console/terminal applications. The black screen with white text and single-key inputs at the middle-bottom of the screen is highly reminiscent.
I would add some music. Love the red text against the white on the black background. The exploration in your game is pretty good, though, and now I'm craving boba.
Wow, this was such an enjoyable game, I loved how each one had such a specific ending and the detail is incredible. I tried to stay alive, and succeeded a couple times, but on other occassions I wasn't so lucky. I actually think the black background helped with the mystery and leaves everything up to imagination. However, some background music would be even sweeter alongside the text revealing itself slowly. Other than that, amazing!
I agree! Many talk about visuals adding to the atmosphere, but I enjoy how the text leaves the horror up to the imagination. Music would be perfect to add to sell the vibe even more.
I must be lucky because i didnt get kill at all while playing multiple rounds. Maybe add some more suspense or narrative twists that would lead you to more danger. Or I just have impeccable survival skills, lol
This is so awesome I love this. I think sound elements and visuals might help with this project but honestly the text and story itself is compelling already! Reminds me a bit of Homicipher but without the (relatively) friendly characters LOL
I don't play a lot of text-based games but this feels very horrifying. I think I got killed three times. The plucking my eyes out reminded me of the Messmer fight second phase since I've been playing Elden Ring recently. Very creepy good game!
The font of the game looks very fancy and highly related to the theme of a horror story. In addtion, the art design of text color is also important; where the creator marks the choices and instrcution as obvious red.
damn i was just trying to drink boba smh. This was very well done, the use of red for options, as well as the font made the sort of eerie gothic feeling much more prevalent. I also like how even though in all the endings I got, I died, they were all different deaths and they had different paths. Very nicely done!
This game is very spooky. I like that there are multiple endings; it made me want to keep going back to find them all! (i think i did). I wonder how much creepier it can get with some sound effects and background music
I got 5 endings, I wonder if there are more and if they are of the same tone. It gives a very inevitable vibe where choice is meaningless and the outcome is the same
This!!! I totally agree, the use of a limited color palette definitely established the identity of your horror text-based game. This was wonderfully done.
I like the look, but I do have one problem, and that is the game is only text. I wish there were some visuals along with music since I want to be even more immersed in the game. I did like the choices I had and how I needed to have certain items to progress, and the multiple endings.

SAME HAHAHA I can't believe boba lead to my demise :,) I got ending 5 though and I think that might've been the scariest

I think the red colored text brought out the horror context and the foreshadowing for death endings

I also agree! I think the font choice as well added to the horror theme and made the game feel very ominous.
I really like the overall art style of this game (the font, etc.).

Very spooky!!! Major Dracula/Nosferatu vibes from this game!!!
